This is a launch-preparation draft. The operator name, server providers and regions, and actual launch date will be finalized before the Play Store release.
1. Purpose and service
These Terms govern the conditions for using Pagelingo's webpage image and text translation service and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the operator.
Pagelingo may provide all or part of the following features.
- A WebView browser, bookmarks, and retention of site sign-in status on the device
- Web image detection, on-device OCR, and display of translated images
- Translation and in-place replacement of text displayed on webpages
- Unified credits (Standard uses 1×; Turbo uses 2×), Google Play purchases, and rewarded ads
2. Use of the service
You may use translation features only for content you are legally permitted to access. Pagelingo does not provide features for bypassing paywalls, sign-in, age checks, CAPTCHA, DRM, or other technical protection measures.
Some content may not be supported because of site structure, image format, dynamic viewers, or access restrictions. The terms and policies of each external site apply separately to your use of that site.
3. Translation tickets and deductions
- Credit quantities and prices are shown before purchase or before translation begins.
- Standard uses credits at 1× and Turbo at 2× from one shared balance. The deduction is not determined solely by the number of images or API requests.
- Long text may be split into multiple requests and require additional tickets; an estimate is shown first.
- The final deduction is determined after translation completes, based on actual usage and the translation mode.
- Reserved tickets are generally refunded automatically when a job cannot complete because of an operator or AI provider error.
Free and ad-reward tickets cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred. Paid tickets are valid for five years from the date they are issued after a successful purchase. Any unused balance expires at the end of that period. The validity period is also shown on the purchase screen.
4. Purchases, cancellation, and refunds
Paid tickets are purchased through Google Play Billing. Google Play procedures and applicable law govern cancellations and refunds.
Because tickets are digital content delivered immediately, withdrawal or refunds for any used portion may be restricted to the extent permitted by law. Contact support@seouv.org about duplicate charges or service failures.
5. Ad rewards
Rewarded ads play only when you choose to watch them. When ad completion is verified by the app and server, the displayed number of reward tickets is issued.
Rewards may be denied or incorrectly issued rewards may be withdrawn if misuse is detected, including automated playback, ad manipulation, or falsified completion data.
6. AI translation results
Translations are generated automatically by generative AI. Pagelingo does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, contextual correctness, or the suitability of names and tone. Results may differ for the same input depending on the model, provider, and server conditions.
Do not rely solely on translations for important medical, legal, financial, contractual, safety, or similar decisions without expert review.
7. Copyright and user responsibility
Copyright and other rights in source content remain with their respective owners. Pagelingo is a tool that helps users translate content they open themselves on their current device screen and grants no rights in that content.
You must have the permissions necessary to access, translate, and use content. You must not use the service to infringe another person's copyright, trademark, likeness, privacy, or other rights.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Hacking or modifying the server, API, app, payment or ad systems, or bypassing protective measures
- Stealing, sharing, or selling API keys, installation tokens, purchase tokens, or tickets
- Disrupting the service by sending excessive automated requests
- Obtaining rewards with false ad completion or purchase information
- Processing illegal information, malware, or information that infringes another person's rights
- Bypassing paywalls, DRM, CAPTCHA, or access restrictions on external sites
9. Service limitations and liability
All or part of the service may be temporarily limited because of server or network failures, third-party outages, policy changes, usage limits, security incidents, natural disasters, or maintenance. Notice may be given in advance when practical or afterward in urgent cases.
Unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence, the operator is not responsible for external-site content, operation, security, privacy practices, or disputes between a user and an external site. This provision does not improperly limit rights guaranteed by applicable law.
10. Changes and disputes
If these Terms change, the effective date and reason for the change will be announced at least seven days in advance. Material or unfavorable changes will be announced 30 days in advance when practical.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first try to resolve disputes by mutual discussion; unresolved disputes will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
